Redcliffe Caves Art Installation Pin Hole Camera Day

April 2006 - World Pinhole Camera Day.

About 35 members of the public turned up for this event. They made pinhole cameras using beer cans which were loaded with a sheet of photographic paper in the caves. They went around the Redcliffe area and took a photograph and then using the cave as a darkroom their photographs were processed.

"Sunday 30th April is Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day. There are events all over the world, in all sorts of different places, including one pinhole photography using Redcliffe Caves as a darkroom with Justin Quinnell, who has made fantastic pictures using a pinhole camera made in a wheeliebin."
