Student Project Filmed in Redcliffe Caves

Kopparberg Cider Advertisement Competition

Nathan Craig and students from Gloucestershire College

A Kodak competition to produce a 30 second advertisement for Kopparberg Cider (made from pears) on film. To make it even more difficult the producer wanted the action to be shot in only one take.

The set was beautiful – the passage leading up to the tree roots was used and along the way were large wooden barrels with metal hoops (very reminiscent of the old postcard showing barrels of palm oil in the caves) and adjacent to these were miners working away. The centre piece was a barrel laden with fruit and several well lit strategically placed bottles of cider sitting on ice.

The whole day lasted 14 hours but the students were very please with their efforts.
